School Budgets

Overview

The School District of Philadelphia allocates resources (e.g., principals, teachers, counselors, etc.) to schools based on a pre-determined formula. Information about this allocation can be found in the Guide to School Budgets for the corresponding fiscal year. With the exception of enrollment driven teachers, principals with feedback from their communities and Assistant Superintendents, determine how to spend their resources. Therefore, the purchased position(s) may not reflect what was allocated. For example, the District may have allocated the equivalent value of two counselors but a principal may have purchased one counselor; what is reflected below are school's actual purchases.

Time Frames Description
FY25 School Budgets (July 2024) School Budgets for the 2024-25 school year after principals, with community input, have made position and other resource decisions. Budgets are based on data as of July 10, 2024.
FY24 School Budgets (June 2023) School Budgets for the 2023-24 school year after principals, with community input, have made position and other resource decisions. Budgets are based on data as of June 29, 2023.
FY23 School Budgets (July 2022) School Budgets for the 2022-23 school year after principals, with community input, have made position and other resource decisions. Budgets are based on data as of July 5, 2022.
FY22 School Budgets (August 2021) School Budgets for the 2021-22 school year after principals, with community input, have made position and other resource decisions. Budgets are based on data as of August 9, 2021.
FY21 School Budgets (July 2020) School Budgets for the 2020-21 school year after principals, with community input, have made position and other resource decisions. Budgets are based on data as of July 28, 2020.
FY20 School Budgets (December 2019) School Budgets for the 2019-20 school year after principals, with community input, have made position and other resource decisions. Budgets are based on data as of December 30, 2019.
FY19 School Budgets (August 2018) School Budgets for the 2018-19 school year after principals, with community input, have made position and other resource decisions. Budgets are based on data as of August 10, 2018.
FY18 School Budgets (April, 2017) School Budgets for the 2017-18 school year after principals, with community input, have made position and other resource decisions. Budgets are based on data as of April 10, 2017.
FY17 School Budgets (June 2016) School Budgets for the 2016-17 school year after principals, with community input, have made position and other resource decisions. Budgets are based on data as of June 3, 2016.
